CBD FAQ - Everything you need to know.
CBD, also known as Cannabidiol is one of the 113 active cannabinoids recognized inside the
Cannabis Sativa L genus of the hemp plant, an herbaceous flowering plant that originally is
indigenous to Eastern Asia however has been grown throughout the world for centuries.
CBD on its own does not have an intoxicating effect on humans or animals. When THC
(tetrahydrocannabinol) is left inside of the CBD Oil, it causes the feeling of being ‘high’. CBD is a natural alternative to potentially alleviate or possibly minimise many health problems such as joint problems, arthritis, digestion issues, IBS, pain, inflammation, appetite, allergies, and more.
CBD is only one of over 100 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Full-spectrum CBD oil includes
all the cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, but with only trace amounts of levels of THC
because of the types of plants we grow. These cannabinoids work together with the CBD
cannabinoid to benefit your body in ways that CBD isolate alone cannot. This is referred to as
the “entourage effect,” where the groups of cannabinoids and terpenes are more effective
together. Full-spectrum CBD also contains all the vitamins, minerals and omega-3s that occur in
hemp plants.
Cannabinoids are natural chemicals found in the hemp plants that interact with different
receptors in the body produce a wide variety of benefits and effects. There are over 100
cannabinoids in the hemp plant, but the two most common cannabinoids are THC and CBD.
Each cannabinoid reacts differently with different receptors in the brain and body, which is why
THC and CBD offer different physical and mental effects.
Terpenes are the natural compounds responsible for the unique aromas and flavors of all
plants. Some terpenes, many of them found in CBD, are believed to also have healing
properties that impact the benefit of the plant on the body. For example, a common terpene in
hemp plants is Myrcene, which gives the plant its earthy aroma, and its relaxation properties are
known to be beneficial for inflammation, pain and insomnia. This, along with many other
terpenes in hemp & cannabis, is what makes the plant so special.
The entourage effect describes the reaction that occurs when all the compounds of the
cannabis plant work together in the body which results in a synergistic effect that makes them
more effective than when any of the components are taken alone.
According to ongoing medical research, humans have an Endocannabinoid System, consisting
of certain receptors that are present on cells throughout the body. CBD interacts with these
receptors in an array of ways, resulting in differing effects in each person. For some, ingesting
CBD calms and relaxes them. For others, it helps them focus and increase alertness. Medical
Studies show it can possibly aid the management and relief of many health conditions.
CBD and CBD Oil products have numerous potential benefits for both the mind and body.
Ongoing medical studies show the significant positive effects of ingesting CBD oil, drinking CBD
drinks, or applying it topically. If you’re looking for a way to cope with various long or short-term
ailments CBD has shown significant improvements in skin problems, pain management, PTSD,
insomnia, stress and anxiety, muscle tension, and more then CBD is fast becoming the popular
alternative to traditional medicines.
CBD can be introduced into your lifestyle very easily. Our products come in different formats
and strengths from teas and coffees, edible sweets, ingestible oils, and topical gels. Each has
its unique application or consumption method (refer to packaging for best use). For instance, the
tea bags are to be steeped in pre-boiling water (80 degrees) for up to 1-4 minutes – one bag per
mug. The CBD Infused Oils can be placed under the tongue and left for 1 minute before
swallowing. Each one is as unique as the next and has dosage instructions on the packaging for
surety. The FSA recommends no more than 70MG CBD per day unless advised otherwise by a
medical professional.
We recommend starting with the lowest serving size suggested on the bottle, 1-2 times per day.
See how you feel and take more as needed.
Listen to your body, CBD can be taken anytime of the day. Most people will either take CBD in
the morning for a focused, centred, calm, and pain-free day, or at night, for a restful sleep and
restoration of the body, mind and spirit. Our SLEEP line should only be used at night to avoid
daytime drowsiness.
CBD is legal to purchase in the UK as long as it contains less than 0.01% THC
(tetrahydrocannabinol), this is the main psychoactive cannabinoid that is found in the cannabis
plant, and it causes the ‘high’ sensation. Our CBD products are not psychoactive and have no
negative effects on your state of mind.
CBD does not have any negative side effects and users of our products have not experienced
any negative side effects. It is always recommended to stay within the dosage printed on the
product packaging. Introduce the product to your system a little at a time and gradually increase
the dose, until you find your perfect dosage for your health and wellness needs.
Transparency, Traceability, and Trust are our primary considerations for anyone looking to buy
CBD Oils or CBD infused products.
Our farms in the EU use only organic soils that are nutrient-rich and use only clean ground
water from natural water sources. During the growth cycles, our on-site team of herbalists
continuously monitors the environment and growth cycles to ensure the crop is of premium
standard. We are passionate about improving the well-being of our users through our full
spectrum CBD Oil and guarantee quality from seed to shelf.
Our hemp has been GAP certified and is grown using organic and regenerative farming
practices. As part of our organic standards, our crops are non-GMO, and we do not use
synthetic chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. Additionally, our regenerative standards
go beyond organic practices and we use sustainable farming methods. Regenerative agriculture
is all about increasing organic matter in the soil to restore ecological balance, maximising
regenerative growth and aiding in higher water retention to balance seasons of heavy rains and
prolonged dry periods. This further helps eliminate the need for chemical inputs and helps the
soil—and the plants within it—thrive.
Our hemp is currently grown on beautiful small hemp farms in Spain. We are also working on
plans to expand our business and cultivation of this miracle plant to other regions where it can
benefit other communities.
You might notice subtle colour variations, but this is normal. We test each batch for efficacy and
purity, so colour differences do not reflect a change to the overall quality of the oil. Nature isn’t
standardised and neither are her products. We do not use additives or dyes, so the natural colour
of the oil might show subtle differences due to seasonal variations.
“Adaptogen” is a term used in herbal medicine to describe a natural herbal substance that is
believed to help the body adapt to stress and normalise bodily processes. We use adaptogens
like ashwagandha in our products to further help protect the body from the effects of stress.
CO2 extraction uses pressurised carbon dioxide (the byproduct of breathing) to extract all
usable parts of the hemp plant, such as waxes, terpenes and, of course, cannabinoids like CBD.
Unlike other extraction techniques, like chemical extractions, this method preserves the valuable
terpenes and doesn’t leave behind any chemical residue.
All our CBD Oils and CBD Infused products are packed full of active phytocannabinoids and
terpenes. They are laboratory tested with full certifications. Any relevant claims Our products
are 100% Natural, 100% Organic, Additive-Free, Gluten-Free, and Vegan. We provide our lab
results on our website, you can find them on each of our product pages.
In clinical trials, the oral administration of CBD does not result in detectable THC blood
concentrations, and most experts in the field do not believe that it shares any similarities to THC
or the THC metabolite following absorption. Specifically, a 2021 clinical trial concluded that
subjects consuming oral doses of 300mg of CBD showed evidence of THC bioconversion and
tested negative for the presence of THC in plasma. Therefore, the administration of CBD alone
should not trigger a positive drug test for the carboxy-THC metabolite.
No. Our hemp is grown from seeds that produce plants that are extremely low in THC and high
in CBD. As a result, our CBD products have a THC concentration of less than 0.01% to meet
EU and UK regulations. This trace amount of THC, when combined with other natural
cannabinoids and terpenes found in hemp plants, work together to maximise the efficacy of our
products. This is known as the entourage effect.
Since everyone is different and medications vary, we always recommend consulting a
healthcare provider if you are taking other medications.
Nope.
No way. However we do use coconut oil in our tinctures so please check your allergens.
